How does laser tattoo removal work?
Tattoos are created by injecting colored pigment dye into the skin. At Ohana Aesthetics and Wellness, the Harmony XL PRO laser from Alma breaks these pigments apart through the application of heat and light. Because each pigment color can only absorb certain wavelengths of light, the most intense heat is only applied to the pigment itself, minimizing damage to your skin.

Will my tattoo be removed completely?
Even with our advanced Alma laser technology, there can still be some residual pigment or skin discoloration after the process. It may take multiple treatments to achieve a result you're satisfied with. The number of treatments depends on the colors in your tattoo, size and shape, and other factors. Because black ink absorbs all wavelengths of light, it is the easiest color to break up. If your tattoo has additional colors, multiple procedures will likely be required.
